Pierre De Valck – Research Trip to Florence

On the 6th of November 2023, Pierre De Valck embarked on a research trip to Florence as a result of the collaboration between Shifting Vision, Galerie Philia, and the Medici Archive Project.

The trip included private viewings of specific works at Casa Vasari, Mueso Horne, L’Opificio delle Pietre Dure, Palazzo Pitti and the Museo del Duomo as well as meetings with local producers and artisans.

The new works will be exhibited together in October 2024 presenting a mix of designs influenced by the Medici Archive.

The exhibition will feature a diverse range of pieces and material approaches blending history with modern innovation and offering a look into the evolving world of artistic expression.
